Experience
I am a qualified peer tutor at the Green River College Writing Center and have been for two years now. I've helped many different students, including both domestic and international students, with research, grammar, essay writing, college applications, spelling, reading, and computer skills. I enjoy helping students reach their goals and achieving academic success. There are few things that are more rewarding than this! I also have taken a computer class during my time at Green River and achieved a 3.70 GPA. This computer class covered the fundamentals of computers, basic usage and then some advanced usage later on. I have helped many students at my tutoring job understand and utilize computers to the best of their ability. Since my major is history, I know quite a lot about American History and have maintained a high GPA in all my history classes, balancing out to an average of 3.75. I also tutored a friend through earning her high school diploma at a community college. I helped her with reading, writing, history, and some other social studies. I took advanced English in high school and have taken four English college level courses. I maintained an overall 3.75 GPA in these classes. I also currently have a second job where I am a copywriter and write anywhere from 5,000 - 10, 000 words a week. In the SAT, my English and Writing scores were exceptional with 34 on the English portion and 8 on the writing portion.

Hobbies
I am the middle child of six children, so you could say that I do extremely well under pressure and during chaos! My siblings are all very creative and all of us strive to find our voice in the creative world. I write to express myself, but I also spend some time drawing and painting. I recently have begun to take up hand-knitting (who knew that existed!) and sometimes I like to dabble in other forms of art, such as photography and films. I also absolutely love reading. Reading is one of the best exercises any writer could undertake, so I read a lot of fiction and philosophy. When I am not being creative or reading, it is not uncommon to find me outside hiking the various trails of King County. I love the outdoors and the woods are especially magical. When I am not doing any of the above, I actually play video games, such as Skyrim or Mass Effect. I do appreciate their artistic value and they make for good stress relief. I also am a fan of cult TV shows such as Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Xena, Hercules, Supernatural, and Farscape.
