Experience
I've taught in many challenging subjects and bring this experience to life as a tutor. Working at a Korean international high school, and also in an elite Korean private International Baccalaureate (IB) high school, focused on overseas university placements, I have taught advanced placement microeconomics and macroeconomics. I taught this for over two years. I also spent two years teaching IB Business & Management and two years of instructing in Pre-Calculus. My teaching philosophy is quite specific. I use real life examples, which help me a great deal in teaching a new theory. Also, I use repetition for test preparation which enables students to be more comfortable with exam formats and with answering questions in a shorter period of time.I'm a graduate of the University of Washington. My majors were Economics and Applied & Computational Math Science. I believe my years of teaching have solidified my skills and abilities to help students do well in complex and technical subjects. It's important for students to do well not only in their classes, but in learning how to approach studying for and completing a standardized test. Now a resident of Auburn, Washington, my favorite interests beside business, economics, and math include traveling and StarCraft.
